CAD (Computer Aided Design) is a procedure that allows an idea or a design to be developed and rendered entirely digitally. At TouchStone 3D we use a 3D solid modeling tool called Alibre’. Our CAD designers use Alibre’ to expand your idea, sketch, or 2D drawing into a 3D computer model.

A 3D solid model allows us to do many things, including:

  • Rendering photo-quality images for visualization
  • Creating 3D PDFs for presentations
  • Facilitating the creation of a physical model using our 3D printer
  • Streamlining the price-quoting process from manufacturers
  • Creating line art-style patent drawings
  • Making prototype models that resemble production parts
