DESIGN CHALLENGE
The founders of POMAlarm wanted to create a device that would alert its user if their possessions were moved or tampered with to give them peace of mind.
To ensure that all the components would be designed with the user in mind, we created a use case scenario outlining how the user would interact with this device from start to finish.

Our Industrial designers worked with 21st Century Creations to generate a wide variety of concept sketches for the device. We drew inspiration from vaults and other locks to help define the concept. Consideration was given to the approximate size of the electronics, forms of similar products, and how the brand language could be used across multiple products.

Our team of engineers then worked in coordination with our industrial designers to integrate the electronics into the housing. Careful consideration was given to manufacturability, ease of assembly, customer interation, and electronics placement.
