Swivel Bottle's Story: Thys came to us with a revolutionary idea (pun intended) for a specialty bottle for long distance runners that could hold two separate liquids: one for refueling and one for hydrating. We worked alongside Thys to develop a high quality, swiveling water bottle that was mass producible, met his target market's needs, and was easy to use. See the evolution of this product from initial sketches to the mass produced product below.

To begin, we sat down with Thys, the inventor of the Swivel Bottle, and brainstormed on how the bottle would swivel, how they would attach together, and how the user would hold the bottles.

Next, we iterated on a brand and logo that could be used to build a company around. This brand included items like primary and secondary colors, typography, and logo.

Using the branding that was created, our amazing team of designers sketched a wide variety of aesthetic options for the bottle so that Thys could choose a design that best fit his vision of the product while taking into account the needs of the end user.

A CAD model of the design was created based on the chosen handdrawn sketch allowing us to prototype the design and eventually mass produce it.

Using the CAD model, we fabricated several iterations of prototype units to verify the key functionality of the design, approximate the overall size, create an ergonomic design, and identify areas requiring improvement.

We then proposed several packaging options for both direct to consumer shipping and retail displays while taking into account the unboxing experience. We wanted to highlight the key functionality of the bottle while maintaining a consistent brand language. The Swivel Bottle was then transferred to mass production and is now available for pre-order!
